Occupational Therapy

At Parnav Learning & Child Development Center, our Occupational Therapy program helps children develop essential life skills by improving their fine motor, sensory, and cognitive abilities. The therapy focuses on enabling children to participate independently in daily activities such as self-care, play, learning, and social interaction.

Occupational Therapy

Our trained occupational therapists use play-based, sensory-integrative, and task-oriented approaches to help children strengthen coordination, attention, and problem-solving skills. Every session is designed to be engaging and personalized to the child’s unique developmental needs and goals.

What Happens in a Session?

During the first session, the therapist performs a detailed evaluation to assess fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and self-help abilities. This helps in identifying the areas that need improvement and in designing a structured therapy plan.

Therapy sessions include activities like hand-eye coordination tasks, balance training, sensory play, and motor planning exercises. Each session promotes improved focus, body awareness, emotional regulation, and functional independence through fun, interactive methods.

Empowering Functional Independence

At Parnav Learning & Child Development Center, our goal is to help every child build confidence and independence in everyday life. Through consistent occupational therapy, children enhance their physical, sensory, and emotional skills — allowing them to thrive at home, school, and in social settings.

  • Poor fine or gross motor coordination

  • Difficulty with handwriting or drawing

  • Challenges in sensory processing or integration

  • Delayed motor milestones (e.g., crawling, walking)

  • Poor balance or coordination

  • Difficulty performing daily self-care tasks

  • Attention and behavioral regulation difficulties

Sensory Integration Therapy

Our sensory integration therapy helps children process and respond appropriately to sensory input like touch, sound, and movement. It improves focus, attention, and emotional balance by making the nervous system more adaptive and responsive.

Fine Motor & Handwriting Skills Development

We design structured activities to strengthen finger dexterity, grip control, and hand-eye coordination. This enhances a child’s ability to write, color, cut, and perform precise movements with confidence.

Gross Motor & Balance Training

Therapists use exercises and play-based movement tasks to enhance core strength, body awareness, posture, and coordination — essential for running, climbing, jumping, and sports participation.

Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Support

Our ADL training helps children master daily tasks such as dressing, eating, grooming, and organizing school materials. These sessions promote independence and self-confidence in daily routines.

Parent Education & Home Programs

We collaborate with parents to continue therapy at home through personalized activities and strategies. This ensures consistency, accelerates progress, and fosters a positive home environment for skill development.
