At Parnav Learning & Child Development Center, our Play Therapy program uses the natural language of children — play — to help them express emotions, develop social skills, and manage behavioral or emotional challenges. Through guided play sessions, children learn to communicate, regulate feelings, and build confidence in a safe, nurturing environment.
Play Therapy provides a powerful way for children to explore their world, process experiences, and develop healthy coping skills. Our therapists use structured and unstructured play activities that encourage emotional healing, social understanding, and cognitive growth while keeping sessions joyful and engaging.
Each session begins with observation and rapport building. The therapist provides a variety of play materials — such as toys, art supplies, sand trays, or story cards — to help children express themselves freely. Through play, therapists identify underlying emotions and help children work through anxiety, fear, trauma, or social challenges.
Parental involvement is an important part of our approach. We share strategies with parents to support their child’s emotional well-being at home and ensure consistent progress across settings.
Play Therapy at Parnav nurtures the child’s social-emotional growth, promotes problem-solving abilities, and strengthens self-esteem. It helps children become more self-aware, develop empathy, and handle daily challenges with resilience and confidence.

Play Therapy is a structured form of therapy that uses play as a medium for children to express emotions, resolve internal conflicts, and develop positive behaviors. It helps them process experiences they cannot yet verbalize.
Play Therapy benefits children experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, aggression, behavioral difficulties, social withdrawal, trauma, or adjustment challenges. It’s also helpful for children with developmental or learning differences who need emotional support.
Play allows children to communicate feelings safely, make sense of experiences, and explore problem-solving. It enhances self-regulation, emotional understanding, and confidence in managing relationships and situations effectively.
No, Play Therapy is guided by a trained therapist who uses play techniques with therapeutic intent. Unlike free play, sessions are designed to help children express emotions, understand behavior, and achieve specific developmental goals.
The duration varies depending on each child’s needs. Some children show improvement within a few weeks, while others may benefit from long-term sessions. Regularity and collaboration with parents significantly enhance outcomes.
